Adaptation of Thriller opening sequence Sofia

We went through everything we needed for our thriller with Matt, Simon and Luke in our lesson. We finalized our cast list and realised that we had to start ordering the props we needed, even though filming is 2 weeks away. We've search ebay, and other sites that sell large amounts of boxes. The boxes are crucial in our thriller as they  are what conceal the girl, "Sofia" in the container. In order to make the thriller and situation look legitimate, all the boxes need to be the same. We have to "scruff" them up a bit as they would have been in ths "lorry container" for 3 days travelling around. We also plan to make signs like "fragile" and "this way up" on the boxes to make everything look more "real". We will also put foreign writeing on the water bottles she will have and the boxes labels. This will ensure the audience that they have come from a foreign place and have travelled.

Sofia Cast list

Here is our cast and props list for our thriller video-Sofia. The cast were chosen according to height and general look. We had a lot of discussion and disagreement over the main girl as we all had different ideas about how she should or would most likely look after her travels and kidnapping. I thought the girl should be blonde, small, wearing ripped clothes, quite skinny but not too frail. I think our end result was a good comprimise to everyones wants. This helped us to move forward as a group and become stronger. It also showed us that we can work efficiantly through dissagreements together.

4th Thriller Idea

Our idea of "Sofia" was rejected because it had no feelings behind it, our judges did not believe it would show enough interest of the film or creat enough sympathy towards the character. However we've held the title, but adjuested the story. Now Sofia will be trapped within a cargo container being transported and the entire sequence reloves around her fear and helplessness before she arrives at he final destination.

First Progression to our Thriller

We've set the age limit and target audinece for over 18 year olds due to the psychological deatil and the more sinister areas of our production around the idea of child trafficing. Our back dotry is based around the disappearance of children from Bulgaria and other local countries, which then links to a police detective; Inspector Carson joining the investigation. Carson then joins the hunt and grabs onto the link of smuggling to the disappearnec of this 16 years old girl Sofia, which then leads him forward to uncover the truth.

Convicted
